RCM Joins CICI and Partners with University of Miami to Advance FRP Rebar Testing and Development
RCM is proud to announce its official entry into the Center for the Integration of Composites into Infrastructure (CICI) through a signed agreement that marks a major milestone in the company’s strategic growth. As part of this partnership, RCM has also entered into a formal collaboration with the University of Miami, a world-renowned academic institution, to rigorously test its line of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) rebars at the university’s Structural Materials Laboratory (UM-SML).
CICI is an NSF-sponsored Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC) focused on accelerating the adoption of fiber-reinforced polymer composites and other innovative construction materials into infrastructure applications through collaborative research between academia and industry. Joining CICI reinforces RCM’s commitment to
innovation and long-term leadership in the development of sustainable, corrosion-resistant construction solutions.
“Our collaboration with CICI and the University of Miami is a significant step forward for RCM,” said Egor Litvinov, executive at RCM. “We are deeply honored to work with UM’s Structural Materials Laboratory, widely recognized as one of the most credible and respected testing facilities in North America and around the globe.” Through this partnership, RCM’s FRP rebars will undergo extensive material testing, validation, and analysis to support product advancement and standardization efforts across the industry.
“This alliance is more than just a testing agreement—it represents our vision for long-term collaboration with the best minds in the field,” added Mr. Litvinov. “We look forward to contributing meaningful data, pushing the boundaries of innovation, and working alongside the top-tier talent at UM.”
RCM believes that the collective expertise within CICI and the technical rigor of UM-SML will play a transformative role in elevating both the quality and credibility of composite materials in infrastructure applications. The company is confident that this is the beginning of a long-lasting, impactful partnership.
